Deep Emotional Healing with Kinesiology: Understanding Emotions as Energy

Emotional balance — what a beautiful concept. Yet not many of us today can honestly say we know what that feels like. We live in constant overload: work, family demands, social media, the news cycle, societal expectations, the pressure to perform… the list never ends.

Most of us never learned emotional regulation growing up. It wasn’t taught at school, and in many homes it wasn’t modelled. Imagine how different life could be if we were taught from an early age how to truly feel, process, and understand our emotions.

At its core, an emotion is simply energy in motion — a current of electrochemical change moving through your body.Emotions are meant to complete themselves when we feel them fully, acknowledge them, and allow them to pass. They’re not meant to be held, hidden, or judged.

But what happens when we spend a lifetime suppressing our emotions?

From childhood we hear things like “Don’t cry,” “Don’t be angry,” “Be a nice girl.” Slowly we learn that some emotions are acceptable and others mean something bad about who we are.

A child who feels anger and hears “good girls don’t get angry” begins to attach meaning to the emotion: “If I feel anger, something must be wrong with me.”This is where suppression begins. We fight our own emotional reality instead of learning that anger is simply a passing wave — completely normal, and often healthy when properly understood.

Over time, we become adults who run from anything uncomfortable. And without realising it, these buried emotions end up running our entire lives.

This is where kinesiology becomes powerful. It helps uncover these deeply stored emotions — the ones that have been sitting in your system for years, quietly draining your energy, shaping your reactions, and influencing your choices. When these emotions are finally processed, the weight lifts. You feel clearer, lighter, more connected. And more you.

In clinic, I notice the great freedom that comes with understanding our emotions and how our belief systems shape our realities. We all want the same thing: to feel the full truth of life — the highs and the lows — without being controlled by either.

This world is one of polarities; you cannot experience joy without also understanding sadness. But when your subconscious fears run the show, they block love, joy, and peace from entering — because fear and love cannot coexist in the same moment.

Unfortunately, we live in a society driven by fear.Kinesiology helps you shift out of it.

All that grief you’ve been carrying for years that no one knows about?

The disappointment.

The resentment.

The loneliness.

The anger from not being seen.

The fear of failure.

Those emotions aren’t there to punish you. They simply need to be completed so that something new — something lighter — can take their place.

One of my favourite authors, Dr David Hawkins — a psychiatrist who also worked extensively with kinesiology — demonstrated how emotions play a role in our reality, reflecting our state of consciousness.

Living for years in states like fear, grief, regret, or shame doesn’t just make life harder emotionally; it creates the internal environment in which illness thrives. The body mirrors the mind.

Likewise, when you learn acceptance, forgiveness, compassion, joy, and love — both for yourself and others — your consciousness expands.Your body shifts. You create fertile ground for healing.

Ask yourself gently:

  • Am I spending most of my days in negativity?

  • Do I often feel resentment, anger, frustration, or exhaustion?

  • Am I staying in a job only for the paycheck, even though it drains me?

  • Am I holding onto a relationship out of fear of being alone?

And perhaps the most important question:

Do I actually like myself? Not perfectly, not all the time — but in the quiet moments?

If the honest answer is “not really,” that simply means something within you is asking to be healed.

If any of these feel true, it’s a sign that part of you is ready: ready to process old emotions, shift belief systems, and see life from a different perspective.

Perhaps reflect on this:What would shift if I allowed myself to feel these emotions and let them go, without forever attaching them to the stories I’ve been telling myself all these years?

Kinesiology is powerful because it brings these unprocessed emotions to the surface where they can finally be acknowledged and released.Once the emotional energy moves, the body moves with it.You feel more balanced, grounded, centred, and free.

But what you choose after the session is up to you. This is a world of free will. And at every moment, you have the choice to treat yourself — and your life — with more love, more compassion, and more truth.

Emotional balance isn’t about avoiding difficult feelings. It’s about finally learning how to feel them and let them go.

Your body is always guiding you toward healing — sometimes it just needs a little support to move the old energy out.If you’re ready to create emotional balance, deepen your self-awareness, and step into a healthier way of being, kinesiology can help you get there.
